The first American flag in history.

The first unofficial American flag is called the Grand Union or Continental Colours.

It was flown with the order of General George Washington at his headquarters in Boston, Mass. It had 13 red and white stripes and the union Jack at the upper left corner. Later the Union Jack was replaced by the white stars on navy background, each representing a different state.
