Ivory Coast Flag

(1 customer review)

The Ivory Coast Flag consists of three equal vertical bands of orange, white, and green. The orange band on the left represents the savannahs of the north, the green band on the right represents the forests of the south, and the white band in the middle represents peace and unity. The national emblem, a stylized depiction of an elephant head, is featured in the center of the white band. This emblem represents the country’s wildlife and symbolizes the importance of Ivory Coast’s elephants in its economy and culture. The Ivory Coast flag was adopted on December 3, 1959, shortly before the country gained independence from France.
