Kenya Flag

(1 customer review)

The Kenya Flag consists of three equal horizontal bands of black, red, and green, with two thin white stripes separating them. A red, white, and black Maasai shield and two crossed spears are superimposed in the center. The black band represents the people of Kenya, the red band represents the blood shed during the struggle for independence, and the green band represents the country’s agriculture and natural resources. The Maasai shield and spears represent the defense of freedom. The flag was adopted on December 12, 1963, when Kenya gained independence from British colonial rule.
