Liechtenstein Flag

(1 customer review)

The Liechtenstein Flag features a simple and distinctive design of two horizontal stripes: blue on top and red on the bottom. A gold crown is centered in the canton (upper left corner) of the flag. The blue stripe represents the sky and the red stripe represents the evening fires that used to be lit on the mountainsides. The crown in the canton represents the unity between the ruling prince and his people. The flag was first adopted in 1921, but the current design, with the gold crown added, was adopted in 1937. The flag of Liechtenstein is a symbol of the country’s history, culture, and identity.
