Uganda Flag

(1 customer review)

The Uganda Flag features six horizontal stripes of black, yellow, and red, with a white disc in the center containing a grey crowned crane. The black stripes represent the African people, the yellow represents the abundant sunshine that Uganda enjoys, and the red represents brotherhood and the blood shed during the country’s struggle for independence. The grey crowned crane, which is the national bird of Uganda, is a symbol of pride and is known for its beauty, grace, and strength. This flag was officially adopted on October 9, 1962, when Uganda gained its independence from the United Kingdom, and has been the national flag of Uganda ever since.
